Alex loved spending time with his little sister, Lily. They would play imaginative games together and have lots of fun. One day, their parents asked Alex to look after Lily while they quickly ran some errands. They promised Alex a special treat when they got back, so he agreed and took responsibility for his sister.
As they played in the living room, Alex decided to build a tower out of blocks. Lily wanted to join in, so Alex helped her with her own tower. They were having a great time until Alex's tower collapsed. Lily's face turned sad, and she said, 'I wanted to make a tower like yours, but you knocked it down, and I'm sad now.' Alex felt guilty. He knew it was an accident, but he still felt bad. He didn't want his little sister to be upset because of something he did.
He tried to make things right. 'I'm sorry, Lily. Let's build an even bigger and better tower together,' Alex said, hoping to cheer her up. But Lily shook her head and said, 'It's not the same.' Alex felt even more guilty. He didn't know what to do to make Lily happy again.
Alex remembered his parents often told him that when he made a mistake, the best thing to do was to apologize and try to make things right. So, he apologized to Lily again and asked her if there was anything else he could do. Lily thought for a moment and said, 'Let's build a tower together, and I want to put the star on top!'
Alex felt relieved. They worked together to build a new tower, and this time, they made it even taller than before. Lily carefully placed the star on top, and her face lit up with joy. Alex smiled, feeling happy that he could make things right with his sister. They even added some toy figures around the tower, and Alex made funny voices for them, making Lily giggle. 'Thank you for helping me, Alex. I love our new tower!' Lily said, hugging her big brother.
When their parents came back, they were proud of how Alex handled the situation. 'We're impressed with how you cared for Lily. Even when things went wrong, you showed responsibility and kindness,' their mom said. Alex beamed with pride. He still felt a little guilty about the tower collapsing, but he also felt good about turning things around with Lily and making her smile again.
